as of may 2011, this scam is still happening. i’m glad i googled the address, the organization he claimed he was from, as well as the man’s name. all of which i found out nothing but scam stuff. beware, people!

I am curious to know if this one particular post on craigslist(one of many) is real?! They say there name is Home Sweet Home, but yet when I called the number, they didnt answer the phone using that name, they just answered saying “Hello how can I help you?” then asked me what state and city I was calling from??!! They went on to say they are a rental company that works for 60 different Landlords, and that if I came in (signed a contract) and paid $150 I would become a client and could then view all properties I was interested in. Sounds WAYYY to go to be true! Then I asked for a wesite address and this is what they gave me http://www.homes2rent.webnode.com it came up under google, but wouldnt come up using my web address bar. So I’ll be checking back for responses to this post. If anyone knows what I am talking about please fill me in.

I only wished that I would have had this information about two weeks ago. I am still fuming about the whole ordeal. I was taken advantage of by rental scammers from the craiglist. I am totally disgusted. I contacted Western Union and the local police. Any other suggestions as to what I should do?
